A brief introduction.
We stay in a small double-storey terrace house in a housing estate
called Taman Angkasa about a mile from the college
where I teach, on the northern side of Kampar town. Let me introduce
them to you...
- My wife, Chooy Lin
We met in university and we were married on the
9th December 1983. She teaches Chemistry in a secondary
school down-town and she was recently promoted to be the Senior Assistant
in charge of Student Affairs. She cooks and does the housekeeping too
... sometimes with a little help from me and the children!
- And three kids:
- Eng Kiat
- Eldest boy, born on 9th December 1984. He has just completed his
first year of a Journalism degree program in Universiti Sains Malaysia,
- Eng Chin
- Second boy, born on 27th November 1986. He is now in Upper Form
Six in SMK Sri Kampar. He is busy preparing for the STPM (Malaysian Higher
School Certificate) exams which will be held in November.
- Keat Hwee
- Youngest girl, born on 24th February 1989. She is studying in
Form Five in Anglo-Chinese School Kampar, an old Methodist mission school.
She's a library assistant for the school library and she has to be on duty once
a week. She passed the Grade 8 Pianoforte and Theory of Music exams conducted
by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, last year and
she is now preparing for the Diploma in Music Performance, Trinity College of
London, next year.
